Rehire Wizard
The rehire wizard allows administrators to rehire a previously terminated employee in the system.
1. To rehire an employee, the administrator must be in the last pay period in which the employee was active. If unsure of the pay period, first use the Diagnostics - Employee Search tool and search for the employee. Click on the employee from the search screen and the user is taken to the Employee Information - Profile page.
2. To begin the rehire wizard, click the ‘Rehire’ button at the bottom of the Employee Profile page.
3. Click the ‘Rehire’ button at any time within the wizard to reactivate the employee. All required fields must be completed prior to reactivating the employee.
4. Click the button to exit the wizard without saving any changes.
The Employee tab contains the following information:

The pay group the employee is assigned to. The pay group controls the calculation of all hours and punches within TimeStar™.

Supervisory Level |
The level of supervisor an employee is (i.e. employee, supervisor, manager, etc.) |

The date the employee’s record is effective within TimeStar™. The effective date defaults to the day after the employee's current stop date. |
The Primary tab contains the following information:

The Employment tab contains the following information:

The Org Level tab contains the previous organization level assignments for the employee. If you change the org level assignments please note that organization level hierarchy is enforced, so assign organization level from the first level downward.
The Supervisor tab contains the previously assigned supervisor. This may be left the same or updated by viewing the drop-down list the supervisors will be grouped by their supervisor level and listed alphabetically within each level.
The Groups tab contains the previously assigned groups.
· If your company utilizes requests, select a request workflow group.
· If your company utilizes schedules, select the schedule group.
· If your company utilizes allocations, select the employee’s earning group.
· If your company utilizes accruals, select the employee’s accrual group.
The Security tab contains the user information associated with the employee.
· If an employee was previously a user of TimeStar™, the user information will display on the Security tab.
· If the employee was not a user, complete the fields on this tab to create a user.
· A user can also be added to the system via the System Setup - User Security or Global Update – User Update pages.
When you have completed your entries, click the ‘Rehire’ button. If there are any sections that have not completed, a pop-up message will appear stating “The following tabs were not changed. Would you like to Continue?”. If all information is completed on the rehire wizard click the ‘OK’ button and the employee will be added to the system. To enter additional information before saving the employee, click the ‘Cancel’ button and user will be returned to the employee rehire wizard.
