Calendar Setup - Time-Off Calendar Setup

Within Time-Off Calendar Setup, an administrator for TimeStar™ has the ability create a configurable time-off calendar to display hours records and/or schedule deviations for employees. 

 

 

From this screen, a Time Off Calendar may be maintained. The Time Off Calendar is available under Daily Procedures – Schedules – Time Off Calendar. 

 

Field Name

Name for the Calendar

Label Future Hours Pending

Indicates if a ‘(P)’ will display next to transactions in future pay periods.

Active

Active Status for the Calendar

Period

Calendar timeframe to display. Available options are Monthly and Pay Period.

Employee Display

The format to display employee names.  Available options are first name, first name + last initial, full name and last name only.

Pay Types to Display

Select the  button to select the pay types to display on the time off calendar.  You may enter multiple lines to allow multiple pay types.

Show Hours

Select the checkbox to display the hours amount for the record.

Min. Amount

Minimum hours for the hours record to display.

Display Text

Select the format to display the pay type in.  Name and description are associated with the pay type. To see a user-defined value, select custom code and enter a value in the text box to the right of the drop-down.

Text Color

Select the text color to display the employee’s hours details.

Highlight Days

Select the checkbox to highlight those days with an hours record of this pay type in yellow.

Include Schedule Deviations

Set to ‘Yes’ to display schedule deviations on the Time Off Calendar.

Min. Time–Off Amount display

Minimum number of hours for a schedule deviation to appear on the Time Off Calendar.

Show Hours Amount

Select ‘Yes’ to display the hours amount of the schedule deviation.

Text Color

Select the text color to display the employee’s schedule deviation information.  The default color is blue.

Highlight Schedule Deviations

Select ‘Yes’ to highlight those days with a schedule deviation record in yellow.

Label Future Deviations Pending

Indicates if a ‘(P)’ will display next to transactions in future pay periods.

 

To add a Time-Off Calendar, follow these steps:

 

1.       Select Company Setup – Calendar Setup – Time-Off Calendar Setup. 

2.      Click the ‘Add’ button.

3.       Enter the Calendar Name and Description.

4.      Select additional options as needed.

 

NOTE – You must select at least one hours pay type or set Include Schedule Deviations to ‘Yes’ for the Calendar to save.

 

5.       Click the ‘Save’ button.
